TULSA STATE FAIR! What a great place for ministry! Jesus did not gather with believers only; He went to the unbelieving. Pray for His Holy Spirit to speak through the hymns sung by our beautiful Christian Native women of the Native Praise Choir. Pray for opportunities to share what Christ means to us.
We will sing on Saturday, Oct. 4th, 2014 at 11AM & again at 12:30PM. Mvto! Wado! Yakoke! Thank you! Today, we received a plaque showing the memorial seat placed in honor of our first Executive Director, Willene Pierce. It shows us where we may find the seat in the tabernacle at our Falls Creek Baptist Assembly. Our Indian women will forever honor her love for our people.
The Native Praise Choir has just returned from a four-day trip to Alabama.
The choir participated in the Oka Kapassa Festival, commemorating the Trail of Tears at Tuscumbia landing, AL and taught Jesus Loves Me in the Muscogee Creek language to 700 elementary students! During our four-day travels in Tuscumbia, the Native Praise Choir was also blessed to visit the childhood home of Helen Keller. It was good to learn of her personal relationship with The Lord. We capped off a great weekend in worship with the FBC of Gravel Ridge, AR. Such hospitality, God bless Native Praise Choir! I now leave you with a quote: "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, or even touched, they must be felt with the heart." - Helen Keller The Native Praise Choir receives numerous invitations to sing our Native hymns.
This Oklahoma-based ministry always prays for God's wisdom & leadership in knowing where He needs us most. When Chicota Baptist Church, TX asked us to come, it seemed we must go. Praise God as we witnessed a little 10-yr old girl invite Jesus into her heart!! Keep us in prayer. Our choir members make great sacrifices for the cause of Christ. |
