I pray that you all experience love, joy, peace, comfort, genuine care & compassion from fellow Christians. That is what I experience every time I gather to sing with the Native Praise Choir. Today was no exception. As we bid our earthly farewell to Christian brother Keeper Johnson today, I saw sisters come together to show their support for one of our own....his wife, Martha.
It's amazing to experience the true depth of love that is transparent in our relationship with one another. While we could not be with others in our choir family who are experiencing sorrow at the same time, our hearts were with them, as well. Women who have such a heart for God... And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. - John 16:22 It's been a rather difficult last few days, as our Native Praise Choir sisters stand with some of our members who are going through days of grief:
Pray for strength, peace, & comfort for these families. What a glorious day! The pictures are of the 40th Church Anniversary celebration of First Indian Baptist Church Shawnee, OK. The Native Praise Choir was honored to sing & we enjoyed words of inspiration & encouragement from several men of God & Rhoda Anderson, wife of former pastor, Tom Anderson. A good day, indeed! What a great blessing & special honor it was for the Native Praise Choir to sing at the home going of Michael Keith Coon, a decorated military serviceman. His grandmother, Helen Coon had been a member of our choir before she took her heaven-bound journey just a few years ago.
It was very moving to hear his comrades speak so respectfully of Michael Keith. God bless this family. Much gratitude to the men & women who defend our country. |
