Yesterday, Mike & I traveled to a small Choctaw Indian community in Oklahoma named Honobia. A Native Praise Choir sister had lost her younger brother quite suddenly, so we went to support Hanna during this time. I had received numerous messages from her fellow choir sisters, sending love & condolences for Hanna's loss. We have been together as a choir, representing numerous tribes, since 1999, & I knew each of those messages to be genuinely from their hearts. Time & again, I have witnessed such love for one another. As we climbed that mountain far into the backwoods of southeastern Oklahoma, it became more & more evident to me, the level of commitment each choir sister has to the ministry of the choir. No matter where we are called upon to sing our native hymns, each one is willing to travel many miles to reach our destination.
In my heart, I know that is why God honors this very special choir. Let us sing until He calls us home. Psalm 117:1 Praise the LORD, all nations; Laud Him, all peoples! - Augusta Smith Leave a Reply. |
