In January, the Native Praise Choir voted to establish an annual attendance award to the choir member with the greatest attendance at all choir functions throughout the year. It was named the Jamie Sumpter Outstanding Attendance Award, named after one of our choir members who battled heart disease, diabetes, kidney failure, & amputations; yet, one who never wavered in her commitment to sing in the choir. Jamie passed away in December, 2014.
The 2014 award was given to Josephine Teehee, Mississippi Choctaw, from Immanuel Baptist Church, Claremore, OK. Leave a Reply. |
